Over the last number of years homeschooling has increasingly received positive press and studies have repeatedly shown that homeschooled children tend to do better than their peers in university and the work force. Because of this, when parents see their children failing in the public school system, they think homeschooling will solve their problems. But that is not necessarily the case. In order for homeschooling to work effectively we need to be disciplined and we need to teach self-discipline, we need to have a good attitude and we need to help our children develop good attitudes. As homeschooling parents we need to make informed choices and it is important to know what the choices are and what materials or approach best suit the needs of our child. The Parent Resources listed in this section should help you in that process. Make it a point to buy one a year and read and share with others. Enjoy.
